Based out of Orange County, Nimbus is a four-piece punk rock band built on longtime friendships and a shared love of raw, unapologetic music. Originally formed as a three-piece, the band came together almost by accident — a group of longtime friends, all between bands, deciding to plug in and see what happened. The $1 tickets officially go on sale at 10 a.m., and there is a limit of four tickets per household.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults conducted by Drug Rehab USA found that a growing number of younger workers are using substances before, during, and after work as a way to manage workplace pressure and burnout.

According to the survey, 35% of Gen Z respondents admitted to using substances like alcohol, cannabis, or prescription medications before starting their workday. Even more alarming, nearly one-third said they use substances during work breaks, whether in their car or even workplace bathrooms. Some respondents also admitted to sneaking substances during meetings or work calls.

And the stress doesn’t stop when the clock runs out. More than half of Gen Z participants — 56% — said they use substances after work to recover from job-related stress.

Experts say the trend reflects the intense pressures younger generations face today. Gen Z has grown up in a world of nonstop connectivity, social media pressure, economic uncertainty, rising living costs, and constant bad news cycles. Mental health resources like therapy are often expensive or difficult to access, leaving many looking for alternative ways to cope.

“It’s not that Gen Z can’t handle stress,” explained Andrew McKenna of the National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependence/Westchester. “They’re dealing with a version of life that feels constantly ‘on,’ and it’s difficult to step away from it.”

While Gen Z may be grabbing headlines, Millennials are also feeling the pressure. In some areas, Millennials actually reported even higher rates of substance use connected to work stress. About 62% said they use alcohol to cope with stress, slightly higher than Gen Z respondents at 61%.

The study found alcohol remains the most commonly used substance across all generations, followed closely by cannabis products and nicotine. Smaller numbers reported using anxiety medications, stimulants like Adderall, painkillers, and even illicit drugs.

The findings paint a troubling picture of how workplace stress and modern life are affecting Americans across multiple generations. As burnout continues to rise, experts warn that self-medicating may provide temporary relief — but can create even bigger problems down the road.

The L.A. County Fair Is Back - And Bigger Than Ever

The Los Angeles County Fair is back, and this year’s theme is all about doing things your own way. The 104th annual fair officially opens Thursday with the slogan “Play Your Way,” bringing weeks of food, music, rides, animals, and family fun to Southern California.

According to Mike Driebe, the fair’s biggest attractions continue to be the classic crowd favorites.

“The animals, the music and of course the food,” Driebe said. “There are over 12,000 menu items here at the fair.”

One of the fair’s most recognizable food vendors, Charlie Boghosian, is celebrating a major milestone this year. His famous stand, Chicken Charlie’s, marks 30 years at the fair in 2026.

“I’m so honored and blessed to be here,” Boghosian said ahead of opening day.

Live music fans will also have plenty to look forward to this year. Country star Brad Paisley is among the featured performers as part of a concert lineup that includes eight major shows throughout the fair’s run.

In addition to concerts and food, fairgoers can expect plenty of rides, including several new attractions for thrill seekers.

To kick things off, opening day tickets are being offered at a discounted price of $12 when purchased through the fair’s website. Advance online ticket purchases throughout the event can also save visitors money.

The 2026 Los Angeles County Fair runs Thursdays through Sundays, plus Memorial Day, from May 7 through May 31. Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

After the political crisis in Belarus started from August 9, 2020, Anton Prakapenia, the band's frontman and co-creator had to flee Belarus, ending up in Los Angeles, California. Later on, he gets acquainted with the bassist Fausto Rodriguez and the drummer David Geller, who are now comprising the skeleton crew of the band. After that, the keyboardist Matt Valtierra joins the band. The guys are continuing working on their music, recording their first US album "American Made", as well as multiple releases later on, and they believe that for the Formal Inn band, the future is yet to come =)

Disney Store is making a temporary return to brick-and-mortar retail with a new concept called “Disney Store Limited Time.” These pop-up locations are set to launch in select cities later this year, giving fans a chance to shop, explore, and experience Disney in a more immersive way.

The company says these short-term stores will deliver everything fans love: authentic Disney merchandise, interactive experiences, and a space designed to celebrate the magic of Disney fandom.

To make it happen, Disney is teaming up with Go! Retail Group—the group behind brands like Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, and Calendars.com.

Where and When to Find Them

The first pop-up is set to open May 23, 2026, at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A second location will follow in fall 2026 at Westfield Garden State Plaza in New Jersey.

What to Expect

These aren’t just simple retail spaces. Disney promises:

It’s all part of an effort to bring back some of the in-person magic that longtime fans have missed.

Here’s everything you need to know about the dramatic return of Orion spacecraft.

Splashdown Timeline: Minute-by-Minute

The return to Earth is a carefully choreographed sequence—and every second counts:

7:33 p.m. – The Orion crew module separates from its service module, exposing its heat shield for the fiery reentry through Earth’s atmosphere, where temperatures soar to nearly 3,000°F.
7:37 p.m. – A short engine burn adjusts the capsule’s angle, ensuring the heat shield is perfectly aligned for entry.

So, what’s really going on?

According to recent data from restaurant tech company Toast, tipping habits have stayed surprisingly steady. In the final three months of last year, the average tip percentage didn’t budge—and it hasn’t changed much at all over the past seven years.

Where people tip the most (and least)

While overall tipping behavior is consistent nationwide, where you live can make a big difference in how much you leave behind.

Delaware takes the top spot as the most generous state overall, leading in both total tipping and tips at full-service restaurants.
When it comes to quick-service spots, West Virginia comes out on top, with Wyoming not far behind.

On the flip side:

California ranks last in total tipping and at full-service restaurants, trailing most states by more than a full percentage point.
New Jersey lands at the bottom for quick-service restaurant tipping.
Washington is the only other state dipping below the 18% average tipping mark.

The numbers tell the story

Tipping at full-service restaurants has remained remarkably stable, sitting at about 19.2%. Since 2018, it’s barely moved—never dropping below 19.1% or rising above the 19.8% peak seen during 2020 and 2021.

Quick-service tipping is currently at its lowest point in that same timeframe, but even that number has held steady for over a year.

What about “tipping fatigue”?

Even though many customers say they’re tired of constant tip requests, the data doesn’t show a major shift in behavior—at least not yet. People may be annoyed, but they’re still tipping at roughly the same rates.

The report is based on digital and card payments made through Toast’s system during the last quarter of the year. That means cash tips weren’t included, which could slightly impact the full picture.

The Oscars will be held at a new venue beginning in 2029, as the ceremony moves from its longtime home at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre to the L.A. Live entertainment complex in downtown Los Angeles, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and AEG announced on Thursday.

The 101st Oscars will be held at the Peacock Theater, where the annual ceremony will remain through 2039, according to a new release.

"As part of this partnership, AEG will undertake comprehensive enhancements to the theater, including upgrades to its stage, sound and lighting systems, lobbies, backstage facilities and additional production-critical areas," the statement said. "AEG will collaborate closely with the Academy to incorporate bespoke design elements needed to accommodate the Oscars ceremony."

L.A. Live's recently expanded plaza will host red carpet arrivals and activities, and the theater will be the first venue to host the Oscars when it becomes available on YouTube through a deal with the Academy, which also begins in 2029, officials said.

"L.A. LIVE was built to host the moments that define culture, and there is no greater global stage than the Oscars," said Todd Goldstein, AEG's chief revenue officer. "We're proud to partner with the Academy to reimagine what the Oscars can look and feel like in the years ahead."

The Academy Awards will continue to be held at the Dolby Theatre and televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide through the 100th Oscars in 2028.
