Inspired by his real-life dog, Decoy, the book follows the furry hero on baseball’s opening day. The big moment? Ohtani co-wrote the book with author Michael Banks, and it features vibrant illustrations by Fanny Liem. While the plot may sound whimsical, it’s rooted in a real-life moment — Decoy actually “threw” out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium last season.
