Sadie Belica is a dark rock producer, singer, and guitarist who creates all of her music DIY from her home studio in LA. The combination of a heavy acid rock sound, interweaving percussive elements, orchestral synths, and moody vocal arrangements is the overlying theme on her newly released EP "Rose Colored Violence" (9/11/20). Some of her creative influences include Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, and Black Sabbath. She is best known for her theatrical live rock performances. Sadie began writing melodies and taught herself to play guitar doing Nirvana covers while pursuing her PhD in Australia. She moved to Los Angeles to study music production at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where she embraced the DIY method and built her own home recording studio. She uses the artist name The Waking Point, inspired by the public's resistance to face the threat of climate change. The psychedelic aspect contains a weirdness authentic to the artist's personality and musical spirit, with Kurt Cobain being her biggest influence.
