The Los Angeles County Fair is back, and this year’s theme is all about doing things your own way. The 104th annual fair officially opens Thursday with the slogan “Play Your Way,” bringing weeks of food, music, rides, animals, and family fun to Southern California.

According to Mike Driebe, the fair’s biggest attractions continue to be the classic crowd favorites.

“The animals, the music and of course the food,” Driebe said. “There are over 12,000 menu items here at the fair.”

One of the fair’s most recognizable food vendors, Charlie Boghosian, is celebrating a major milestone this year. His famous stand, Chicken Charlie’s, marks 30 years at the fair in 2026.

“I’m so honored and blessed to be here,” Boghosian said ahead of opening day.

Live music fans will also have plenty to look forward to this year. Country star Brad Paisley is among the featured performers as part of a concert lineup that includes eight major shows throughout the fair’s run.

In addition to concerts and food, fairgoers can expect plenty of rides, including several new attractions for thrill seekers.

To kick things off, opening day tickets are being offered at a discounted price of $12 when purchased through the fair’s website. Advance online ticket purchases throughout the event can also save visitors money.

The 2026 Los Angeles County Fair runs Thursdays through Sundays, plus Memorial Day, from May 7 through May 31. Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
