Heinz Just Turned Ketchup Into a Keg — and It’s Ready for Game Day

Kegs are usually reserved for beer, but Heinz is shaking things up just in time for Super Bowl weekend. The iconic condiment brand has officially unveiled the Heinz KegChup — a full-on ketchup keg designed to keep the snacks flowing when the game is on.

Standing 19.5 inches tall and holding a massive 114 ounces of Heinz ketchup, the KegChup is built to replace the graveyard of empty bottles that usually pile up at football parties. Instead of shaking, squeezing, or running out mid-dip, fans can now tap, pour, and keep the party moving — just like at a bar.

Heinz says the idea was inspired by the beer industry’s long-standing solution to running dry. Why not treat ketchup the same way?

“On game day, fans unleash their unbridled passion for their teams, and their love for Heinz ketchup is no exception,” said Jamie Mack, associate director of brand communications for Heinz U.S. “That’s why we’re kicking it up a notch with the Heinz KegChup — the ultimate game day companion that gives people the freedom to dip responsibly, with our unmistakably rich sauce flowing all four quarters long.”

The brand first teased the concept on Instagram last fall, and the response was huge. The post racked up nearly 1 million views and thousands of comments, with fans calling the ketchup keg a “dream tailgate setup” and simply “iconic.”
