Was founded by Songwriter/ Vocalist Luke Elder in Flagstaff, AZ after a band Luke was drumming for collapsed around 2011. Luke went solo and switched to Guitar and Songwriting and after years of struggle the band, The Infinite Ways came together. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, and the E Street Band ; They go hand in hand.

Luke was born in "factory town" Michigan and wears his working-class roots on his sleeve. Luke left the Midwest early and traveled to the cubs of Chicago to the plains of Texas, the mountains of the American West, the major metropolis of the East Coast, and any place in between. His life experiences informed his perspective and his brand of American music. Elder settled on the West Coast and brought his brand of music to the Los Angeles area, and now called Long Beach home for over ten years.

Elder forged ahead through lineup changes as the band struggled to stay active from the first album recorded in LA in 2016 to home-produced singles during the lockdown, to a live album from the Hotel Café and a 4th album on the way in in 2024. It all came together in LA.

The band is composed of musicians as diverse and different as the music they make. Michigan-born drummer Alex Fontaine has a Gospel background and locked the band's pocket in place when he and Luke met while they both navigated life in the trenches of the LA music scene. Southern California-born members: bass player Josh Allen, guitarist Garrison Smith, and Guitarist Paul Garcia bring wildly different musical backgrounds including Metal, Indi, and Classical.

Luke Elder & The Infinite Ways is hard to pinpoint. Lyrical and story-heavy verses smashed together with explosive shimmering guitars, prog-like bridges, call it whatever you want. Luke Elder & the Infinite Ways just call it Rock and Roll.
